12 recommendations to consider before buying real estate in the Baltics
| News

CEE Legal Matters a print and online publication for and about lawyers interested and working in Europe’s emerging legal markets has published 12 recommendations to consider before buying real estate in the Baltics, prepared by attorneys at law and partners at LEXTAL Legal group Marge Manniko (Estonia), Jolanta Liukaitye-Stoniene (Lithuania) and Jānis Ešenvalds (Latvia).
Although the real estate market in all three Baltic States is closely related, the legal systems vary a bit. Also recommendations for real estate buyers vary depending on the targeted property.
The quality of real estate sale contracts depends directly on the knowledge of the buyer and the buyer’s ability to ask the right questions, therefore, it is advisable to entrust the negotiations of the terms of the purchase contract to an experienced and professional lawyer.
